Are You Goofy?

I have found that one of the greatest rewards of running a marathon, other than the race itself, is the amazing people I have met along the way. To date I have run four marathons and at each and everyone I have met up with other bloggers who share the love of running.

The 2008 Chicago Marathon Dream Team: Bill, Melisa, Charlie, Maddy, Stone(who cannot stay away from a camera) and Petra

A lot of great running bloggers, and twitter runners are already making plans to spend the second weekend in January 2011 at Walt Disney World for the marathon weekend. If you are planning on participating in any of the distances, the 5K, the Half Marathon, the Full Marathon, the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge or the unofficial Dopey Challenge, please leave a comment and we will invite you to contribute to this blog.

Are you goofy enough to join in this challenge?

  1. You know I'm in for the Goofy Challenge! And yes, I'm goofy enough or maybe too much. lol

  2. I'm Goofy, too! Doing my second Goofy (and possibly Dopey...haven't decided yet) in 2010.

  3. Wow! This is great! WDW 2011! We're on our way!

  4. Yep, I'll be doing the Goofy Challenge! First time and I hope I don't regret the decision, haha!

  5. I will most likely be at mile 23.5 handing out chocolate. Love to volunteer and see all the runners nearing the finish line! If you find me you get two pieces of chocolate :-)

    You say 2011, what's up for 2010?

Best wishes to all the runners!

  6. Well, I like seeing the advanced planning. I wasn't sure I was going to run Goofy since I plan to run it in 2010....but I might have to if everyone else is coming to town! :-)

I will definitely run one of the Disney races!

  7. I will definitely need this much time to get ready, but I'm liking the idea - a lot. I'll talk hubby into it.

  8. I did Goofy in 2008, Dopey in 2009, and will Dumbo in 2010.

Then I will be racing in the remaining 48 states that I have yet to run in.

If anyone has questions, feel free to ask.
